Three die of suspected Chikungunya: toll 112

Alappuzha, Oct 12 (UNI) Three more people including a seven-year-old boy, died of suspected Chikungunya in Cherthala taluk today, taking the toll to 112.

Vipin Joseph (7) of Kattur village, Maniappan (64) of Kadakapally panchayat and Sarasamma (73) from Kanichukulangara died at local hospitals.

Meanwhile, 1,982 people came for treatment at the out-patient department of the Cherthala government hospital, more than 200 people were undergoing treatment, sources said.
