Sessions court stays subordinate court order on JKCA Gen Secy

Srinagar, Oct 12 (UNI) A sessions court here stayed an order passed by the Second Additional Munsif, Srinagar on October 4 in which the Judge had held that it was not within the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Chairman's jurisdiction to prevent honorary general secretary Salim Ahmed Khan from functioning on his post.

The Second Additional Munsif, Srinagar had also directed that until the recommendations for suspension of the general secretary made by the Chairman on July 18 were not confirmed by the JKCA President, he cannot be prevented from functioning as such.

The stay order was passed by the Third Additional District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar.

''The order impugned on October 4 should not be given effect to till the next date of hearing on October 23, the court said.
