Rs 19.52 crore to be spent on roads in Balh assembly: CM
Shimla, Oct 12 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said a sum of Rs 19.52 crore will be spent on tarring and metling of 10,000 km roads in Balh assembly segment of Mandi district of the state.
Roads had been accorded top most priority to help in taking development to the people living in remotest areas of the state, he said, while addressing a public meeting at Rewalsar in Mandi district after inaugurating a BDO office building at Ner Chowk.
Mr Singh said the government had opened 14 degree colleges in the state during the last one year, strengthening educational network in the state.
A fifty km long roads were being constructed in Balh area, while 20 other road projects were in progress on which a sum of Rs 19.52 crore were being spent, he said.
He assured the people that their demand for the opening of a degree college at Rewalsar in the district would be considered, adding that his government had already opened seven new schools in the state during the fiscal.
