Prez arrives on a 1day visit to Madhya Pradesh

Jabalpur, Oct 12: President A P J Abdul Kalam arrived here today by a special aircraft on a day's visit to Madhya Pradesh.

State Governor Balram Jakhar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Anang Kumar Patnaik were among those present at the airport to welcome him.

From the airport, Dr Kalam drove straight to the Rani Durgawati University to participate in the convocation ceremony.

Later he will participate in the golden jubilee celebration of Madhya Pradesh High Court, which came into existence on November 1, 1956.
