Notice to CBI to bail plea of sex scandal accused

Chandigarh, Oct 12 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today issued notices to the CBI and other respondents on the bail plea of Anil Sethi, former additional advocate general, Jammu and Kashmir presently in jail for his alleged involvement in the Srinagar sex scandal.

The notice was issued by Justice Rajive Bhalla who today admitted the bail plea of the accused.

The bail plea would now be taken up on November two by when the response of the investigating agency and other respondents would be known.

It has been argued by the petitioner that he was falsely implicated in the case. Sethi who was declared abscanding after the scandal surfaced, had subsequently surrendered in the court at Jammu on June 26.
