Marathi film veteran director Kapadi passes away
Kolhapur, Oct 12 (UNI) Marathi film veteran director Murlidhar Kapadi passed away following a heart attack here late last night.
He was 72 and is survived by a son, two daughters and wife.
Mr Kapadi started his film career as assistant director in 1955, working with director Kumarsen Samarth and later with D D Kashap, Vasant Painter, Kamlakar Torane and others.
''Ashee Hee Sataryachee Tarha'' was his first film as director, after which he never looked back and directed various films including ''Chorawar Mor'', ''Binkamacha Navara'',''Kiss Bai Kiss'', ''Bhujang'', ''Aayatya Bilawar Nagoba'' and others.
The last rites will be performed at Mumbai, according to Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapati Mahamandal Secretary Bhalchandra Kulkarni here today.
