Leaders pay floral tributes to CPI leader Subbiah
Puducherry, Oct 12 (UNI) Floral tributes were paid to veteran CPI leader and former minister V N Subbiah on his 13th anniversary of death here today.
Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, Puducherry Municipal Chairperson Dr Sreedevi, and legislators were among those who garlanded the statue of the leader who played a vital role in the liberation of Puducherry from the French colonialism.
CPI state secretary Na Ra Kalainathan, national council member R Viswanathan, MLA and party functionaries also garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.
Earlier, the CPI volunteers took out a silent procession from party office to the place where Subbiah's statue is located.
