Huge accommodation for CRPF personnel coming up in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 12 (UNI) The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will construct a group centre on 125 acre of land in Lethpora village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir to meet the shortage of accommodation for its personnel in the Valley.

The centre will be self-contained township having all facilities such as shopping complex, hospital, school, bank and post office.

CRPF Director General J K Sinha yesterday laid the foundation stone of the centre which would provide family accommodation to 4000 youth recently recruited in the CRPF.

Due to the prevailing normalcy and shortage of accommodation, the CRPF personnel would also be provided accommodation in this centre.

The centre was expected to provide hospital and educational cover to the nearby villages.

Addressing the function, Mr Sinha thanked the Jammu and Kashmir government for early processing of the case.

In the evening, the CRPF DG called on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and apprised him about the acquisition of the land in Pulwama for establishing a group centre there.

They conveyed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for all possible cooperation extended by the state government.
