Gang of S Indian bag lifters busted, two arrested
New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) Delhi police have busted a gang of bag lifters with the arrest of two South Indians involved in 37 cases of bag lifting from several parts of the city as well as Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Noida.
The two - Mohan, a resident of district Kunoor in Tamil Nadu, and Sunder, a resident of Trichnapalli in Tamil Nadu - were arrested yesterday afternoon from near Batra Hospital where they had come in search of a big heist before leaving Delhi for Tamil Nadu.
About 25 gm of heroin amd a knife was recovered from Sunder.
Interrogation revealed that Mohan, the leader of the gang, was involved in around 37 cases of bag lifting in every nook and corner of the city, including Old Delhi and New Delhi Railway Stations, Subzi Mandi, airports, Chandni Chowk and Red Fort.
