Court rejects plea for brain mapping test on tantri case accused
Kochi, Oct 12 (UNI) A lower court today rejected the plea of Kerala Police to conduct a series of tests, including brain mapping and narco analysis, on Bachu Rahman, a key accused in the Sabarimala Tantri Attack Case.
Judicial First Class Magistrate II Sharat Chandran rejected the police application to conduct brain mapping, narco analysis and lie detector tests on Bachu Rahman, accused by police of hiring the 'goonda' gang which allegedly attacked the then Sabarimala Tantri Kandararu Mohanararu in a flat here on July 23.
The court also remanded Bachu Rahman to judicial custody till October 26. Rahman, who was absconding for more than two months, had surrendered to the police here on October three following a high court directive. He was remanded in police custody till today.
The court also dismissed the bail applications of three co-accused in the case -- Ashraft, Abdul Sahid and T P Abdul Sattar.
