Cong declares nominees for bypolls in Vidisha, Malehra

Bhopal, Oct 12 (UNI) The Congress today declared Ms Rajshree Singh as its candidate from Vidisha parliamentary constituency and Mr Jagdish Shukla as its nominee from Malehra assembly seat.

Congress General Secretary V Narayansami announced the names of candidates in New Delhi today, a party release here said.

Mr Shukla, considered close to Congress General Secretary Satyavrat Chaturvedi, had filed his nomination in anticipation before his name was announced, while Ms Singh filed her nomination today.

The last date of filing nomination is tomorrow, while by-polls were slated for October 30.
