K'taka Govt to release Rs 2 cr for onion support price

Hubli, Oct 11 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will immediately release Rs two crore towards paying support price for onion to help the farmers, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy declared today.

Inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for several development works at Annigeri village of Dharwad district, he said a meeting of Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee officials and the Minister concerned in Bangalore would decide the support price, ranging between Rs 350 and Rs 500 depending on the onion grade.
