Group clash over minor girl rape, Tension in Nilgund Village

Davanagere (Karnataka), Oct 11 (UNI) Tension prevailed at Nilgund Village, 45 Km from here, as two groups indulged in attacking each other over alleged rape of a minor girl a few days ago.

Scores of people were injured in stone pelting by the groups.

Some houses and vehicles parked were also damaged.

Timely action by the police averted what would have been a major clash.

The injured have been admitted to near by hospital and district hospital here.

So for no arrest have been made. Additional police force from Davanagere were rushed and the situation was stated to be tense but under control.
