Govt to generate more employment opportunities: Karunanidhi

Coimbatore, Oct 11 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today said his government would provide employment to three lakh people in the coming months.

Addressing a public meeting here yesterday, as part of the election campaign for the civic polls, he said the government had already generated employment for over one lakh people.

About 1.5 lakh jobs were created in the government departments after his party led DPA came to power.

He said his party would discuss with alliance partners before taking any decision on implementing a welfare programme for the people.

Even the state budget was discussed with the alliance partners before it was presented in the Assembly, he added.
