CBI conducts raids against MCD officials at 25 places in Delhi
New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) In its renewed operation against corruption, the CBI today raided 25 places of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials here in connection with unauthorised construction in the Capital.
Five cases have been registered following which the raids were carried out at premises of several MCD officials and 13 private individuals, according to official sources.
''Premises of those where searches were conducted included a deputy commissioner, executive engineer, assisstant engineer, junior engineer and subordinate staff of the MCD at Outram Lines, Rajouri Garden, Vasant Kunj, Shakti Nagar and Bunglow Road.'' The raids were against MCD officials who colluded with private individuals and builders to allow unauthorised construction and encroachments, sources added.
