BJP Delhi Cantonment Mandal General Secretary joins Cong

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) General Secretary of BJP's Delhi Cantonment Mandal Vinod Kumar Bakshi has joined Congress along with 200 of his followers.

Mr Bakshi, who also held the posts of Delhi Cantonment Residents' Welfare Association and Delhi Cantonment Traders' Association, had contested the last Delhi Cantonment Board elections on BJP ticket, a statement said today.

Mr Bakshi said he left BJP because he was fed up with the communal and casteist politics of that party, where people were indulging in an internal war by pulling down each other instead of attending to the people's problems.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President R B Sharma welcomed Mr Bakshi and his supporters to the party.
