4000 assurances of government pending in Council

Samastipur, Oct 11(UNI) Chairman of the assurance committee of the Bihar Legislative Council Tanveer Hasan today said 4000 assurances given by the state government in council had been pending.

Talking to reporters here, Dr Hasan said efforts were being made to fulfil those assurances and officials had been directed to speed up the matters.

He alleged that pendency of the matters were due to the negligent attitude of the officials in the Nitish Kumar regime. ''The ruling party MLAs were also flouting the rules,'' he rued.

'' All political parties should take a unanimous decision on the issue of not giving tickets to any person having criminal antecedents', he said.

Referring to the ongoing appointment process of large scale teachers in the state, he said that intention of the Nitish government did not appear to be clear.
