3 police personnel booked for raping a minor girl

Maharajganj, Oct 11 (UNI) Three police personnel including a sub-inspector, were booked allegedly for outraging the modesty of a minor girl in Maharajganj district.

Police today said the incident occured under Brijmanganj police station area, where cops took a girl and her father for interrogation in a case three days back, the girls was raped while in police custody, they said.

The victim, a resident of Kamal Chauraha village accompanied by her parents, visited the Superintendent of Police last evening and demanded stringent action against Brijmanganj police station personnel.

But when she was asked to identify the accused, she failed.

However, medical check-up has confirmed that she was being molested.

Meanwhile, a case was registered and investigations were on.
