Woman arrested for selling illicit liquor

New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) Intensifying the drive against smuggling of illicit liquor during the festival season, Delhi police has arrested a woman for procuring and selling the spirit in South West Delhi.

Geeta, 45, was arrested during a raid in Dabri. Police recovered 589 quarters of illicit liquor.

Police said she is involved in more than 30 cases under Excise Act.

During interrogation, Geeta confessed to have procured the liquor from Gurgaon and supplying to JJ clusters in Delhi.
