Unaccounted money seized at Chennai airport

Chennai, Oct 10 (UNI) Income Tax authorities seized unaccounted money to the tune of Rs 16 lakh from a hotelier at Kamaraj domestic airport here today.

Official sources said, acting on a tip off, the Income Tax Department officials detained the Madurai-based hotelier Navaneethakrishnan soon after his arrival from Madurai by Jet Airways flight. On the examination of his suitcase, they effected the seizure.

Further investigations were on.
