ULFA militants remanded in police custody
Dhaka, Oct 10 (UNI) A court today sent in four suspected members of ULFA to police custody who were arrested from Ramchandrakura in Nalitabari sub-district of Bangladesh's northern Sherpur district.
Magistrate of G R Cognizance Court M Abdur Rahim sent them in police custody when Sub-Inspector of Nalitabari thana Saiful Islam produced them before the court seeking seven days' remand for them.
The arrested were identified as Kochang Marak (20), Walang Sangma (20), Rongu (20), and Dumsang (20) hailing from Meghalaya, a media report said.
Bangladesh Rifles' (BDR) personnel arrested them in Ramchandrakura frontier area under Nalitabari upazila yesterday and recovered wireless sets, uniforms, masks and other instruments from their possession.
