Two suspected dengue cases reported
Indore, Oct 10 (UNI) Two fresh suspected cases of dengue were reported from the district taking the number of such cases to four.
''Samples were sent to New Delhi-based National Institute of Communicable Diseases for examination,'' Indore Chief Medical Officer (CMO) K K Vijayvargiya said.
A patient was admitted to Gokuldas Hospital and Aurbindo Medical College Hospital each with symptoms of dengue. Earlier, two patients were admitted to the Choithram Hospital.
According to official sources, many ill people were approaching hospitals and their health was being examined. However, it was not practical to send samples of all the patients to New Delhi.
Under such circumstances, only a few samples were sent for examination.
Aurbindo Medical College Chairman Vinod Bhandari said several patients, showing symptoms of dengue, were arriving at the hospital and were being given treatment.
He said a small booklet had been published for spreading awareness about dengue.
