Two Indians arrested with heroin in Nepal
Kathmandu, Oct 10 (UNI) Nepal police today arrested two Indians and seized 42 Kgs of Heroin which they were smuggling from Kathmandu to India, local media reports said.
The police recovered 90 plastic wrapped packages of Heroin stashed at a hidden compartment between the back seat and the car trunk, at Gaidakot in Nawalparasi district, 70 kilometre south west of Kathmandu, Nepalese newspaper Kantipur said, quoting police as saying.
They were taking the drugs to India from Kathmandu via Sunauli, the police said.
Devendra Singh and Santosh Singh of Aurahi, Uttar Pradesh were travelling by their car (DC3C 6040), said Police Inspector Prakash Malla of the Area Police Station, Gaidakot.
The two had rented the car from Rajendra Malhotra of New Delhi for a sum of Rs 20,000 for the purpose of smuggling illegal drugs, he added.
The two confessed of putting the drugs in the car somewhere between Muglin and Malekhu, 40 kilometre south west of Kathmandu.
They will be presented before the court under Illegal Drugs Act of 1976, the paper said.
