Straying bear caught, shifted to zoo

Tirupati, Oct 10 (UNI) A bear which strayed into the town and caused panic among the people was finally trapped and brought to Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park (SVZP) here today.

Earlier, the three-year-old bear had attacked children at Rayachoti in Kadapa District.

SVZP Assistant Curator Parthasarthy told UNI the bear was trapped and shifted to the park.

With this, the total number of bears in the SVZP had gone up to nine, he said.
