State Govt failed to contain dengue: BJP
Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President N Indrasena Reddy today claimed that the state government had totally failed to control dengue and to provide preventive measures to control the seasonal disease in the state.
Addressing a press conference here today, he said though the World Health Organisation (WHO) had warned the state government about the possible threat of chikungunya and dengue fevers eight months before, they had failed to take preventive measures.
He alleged that the government had not seen the written manuals of the Health Department to take steps to contain the epidemic.
''11 persons died of dengue, so far in Andhra Pradesh and it had spread to all other districts,'' he said, alleging that the state government had not bothered about the health care of the poor people in the state.
