Sonia Gandhi to visit Chhattisgarh on Oct 14

Raipur, Oct 10: Almost after two years, Congress President Sonia Gandhi is coming on a one-day visit to Chhattisgarh on October 14.

Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi said Ms Gandhi's political advisor Ahmed Patel has confirmed the Congress President's one-day programme, during which she will address a public meeting besides taking part in several programmes.

Elaborate preparations were being made to make the public meeting a huge success.

Before addressing the public meeting, Ms Gandhi will take part in the conclusion of three-day training camp of party workers.

During the meeting, the Congress President will take on the state government for its failure in the past three years besides highlighting the UPA Government's achievements.

Ms Gandhi's last visit to the state was during campaigning for 2004 Lok Sabha polls when she had come to take part in a road show.
