Simi leads the field in the DLF Women's Golf

New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) Simi Mehra Guffin shot three over second round to keep a five-stroke gap on the leader-board, with the second position being shared by Shalini Malik and Mumbai golfer Sanam Merchant in the 1st leg of the DLF Women's Golf Tour at the Qutab course here today.

Simi was two-under after the first two holes but went on to bogey the sixth where she missed a two feet putt. The ninth was another disapointment as she got a bad kick inspite of a good drive, the ball hit a rock and trajected under an outcrop. The bad luck stayed as she got dehyderated on the 12th Hole she almost didn't continue as she four putted the hole but stuck on to turn in the leader card of 75.

Former National champion Nonita Lall Qureshi felt she could have done better. So did some of the other players. While Mina Johl was visibly disappointed in her 2nd round, Preetinder the youngest player on the tour was quite upbeat on her performance.
