Select metal prices rises on improved industrial demand
Mumbai, Oct 10 (UNI) Select metal prices rose on improved industrial demand as London Metal Exchange remained steady, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In ferrous section: copper utensils and aluminium utensils hiked by Rs 300 and Rs 100 per quintal, respectively, on reduced stock supply.
In non-ferrous category: copper wire bars and zinc slab increased by Rs 200 and Rs 100 per quintal, respetively, on increase of fresh demand.
Tin slab and Nickel cathode remained steady.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 37,500, Copper utensils - Rs 32,800, Brass utensils - Rs 22,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,500 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,900.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 41,300, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,000, Zinc slab - Rs 19,500, Lead ingots - Rs 6,900, Tin slab - Rs 520 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,880 (per kg).
