Revenue officials in jail

Patna, Oct 10 (UNI) A special CBI Court today remanded two Directorate of Revenue personnel to custody in connection with a bribery case.

Earlier during the day, the CBI had produced intelligence officer Daya Shankar Singh and constable Bhagwan Mahto before the special judge Jayant Kumar Sen, who directed to send them to Beur Central Jail till October 20.

According to the FIR, Mr Mahto had accepted Rs 5,000 from a person to extend undue favour to him in connection with a case pending in the revenue directorate. Both were arrested from Shastri Nagar police station area in Patna yesterday.
