Rains forecast at few places in South

Pune, Oct 10 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Marathwada, and interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.

The Southwest Monsoon has been subdued over Assam, Meghalaya and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh. They were above normal in Bihar, Punjab, and east Rajasthan. They were below normal in some parts of west Rajasthan, and Gujarat.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Jharkhand and west Rajasthan. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, north Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. They were above normal in some parts of Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, and Uttaranchal.

Rain or thundershowers have occured at many places in Lakshadweep and at a few places in Madhya Maharashtra, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu, and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Marathwada, Telangana and Rayalseema.
