Policeman shot at, robbed of Rs 10,000

Lucknow, Oct 10 (UNI) A policeman was today shot at and robbed of Rs 10,000 by two unidentified miscreants in Ferozabad district of Uttar Pradesh.

Police said here the incident occurred when constable Gajraj Singh and one of his colleagues were about to enter the Ferozabad Railway Station premises.

Gajraj was shot at and wounded severely.

Later, the miscreants fled with the money, which the victim had withdrawn from bank a little earlier. Gajraj had been admitted to hospital.

A case had been registered and a manhunt launched to nab the accused.
