NKorea can end nuclear plans if US acts-Yonhap

SEOUL, Oct 10 (Reuters) North Korea is willing to end its nuclear programme and return to six-party talks on the issue if the United States reciprocates, Yonhap news agency quoted a North Korean official as saying today.

But he added Pyongyang was prepared to put nuclear warheads on missiles and conduct additional nuclear tests ''depending on how the situation develops.'' ''We are still willing to abandon nuclear programmes and return to six-party talks. We can do that any time only if the United States takes corresponding measures,'' it quoted the unidentified official as saying in a report from Beijing.
