NIIT-Intel join hands to deliver multi-threaded software
Bangalore, Oct 10 (UNI) IT major Intel India and NIIT today announced a joint programme to develop training courses in multi-threaded software development.
The two companies would offer expertise to help developers learn new IT techniques to architect, develop and debug the next generation software for multi-core platforms, mainly the Intel processors, Mr Elliot Garbus, General Manager of Intel's Global Developer Relations, said today.
Speaking at the Intel Developer Forum here, he said ''to usher in a new generation of computing technology and bring innovative new products to market, it is crucial to educate developers on next generation software applications for multi-core platforms. Working with NIIT, Intel Software College is preparing the developer community for its new paradigm.'' Through this collaboration, Intel India and NIIT would target software developers and architect communities for multi-core programming on popular platforms like C++, Microsoft.NET and Java.
NIIT would be launching these multi-core courses at select training centres across India. Later the two companies would extend these programmes across South Asia, he added.
