"Mr Jaiswal should not submit report on his two hour visit":Prakash

Mangalore, Oct 10 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Home M P Prakash today strongly urged the Union Minister of State for Home Prakash Jaiswal, who visited the trouble torn areas in the city yesterday, not to submit his report to the Centre based on his 'about two hours visit' Talking to UNI after visiting injured in the Hospitals, he said that he was under the impression that the Union Minister would make a overnight stay and assess the situation prevailing before leaving.

"But to my surprise, he (Mr Jaiswal) has left last evening itself even without showing curtesy of meeting or calling me." Claiming that the State government has taken all necessary steps to contain the violence and there is no need to have any apprehension that Mr Jaiswal's report on his two hour observation would destabilise the coalition government in the State. "One should appreciate the way the situation was brought under control. There were no firing despite Shoot at Sight was ordered." He said that the situation is returning back to normalcy with curfew relaxed between 0700 hrs to 1900 hrs.

Mr Prakash also criticised the Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh, who was also on visit to trouble torn areas, not having curtesy of calling on him (Mr Prakash) despite making all arrangements made on his request to receive when Mr Jaiswal arrived in the City.

"I was under the impression that Mr Jaiswal would return to Circuit house after his visit to trouble torn areas and I can brief him about the situation and steps taken by the State government. But immediately after the visit he had left for Delhi", he added.

Mr Prakash appealed to the public not to be carried away by the rumours spread by trouble mongers.
