Minor boy held for stealing money from Tirumala Hundi

Tirumala, Oct 10 (UNI) A minor boy was arrested when he was stealing money from the main Hundi of the Lord Venkateswara temple here.

Police said N Srinivas from Nellore District was caught red- handed yesterday by the Hundi Security Officer as he was taking money out of the open Hundi. Rs 2,300 was recovered from him.

He was sent to the juvenile jail for remand, police added.

Tirumala police were investigating the case.

This was the third such incident within three days. Two days ago, police arrested two persons for a similar offence.
