Memory expert and son to represent India in cube championship
Tiruchirapalli, Oct 10 (UNI) A noted memory expert and his ten year old son will represent India at the Dutch Open Rubik's Cube Championship-2006 in the Netherlands on October 14 and 15.
Talking to UNI, P John Louis (42), a well-known memory expert said the championship was being organised by the World Cube Association and Speedcubing.Com. The contests would be held on Dutch Cube Day, falling on October 15 and the day before at Delft University in the Netherlands.
He said about 60 contestants from 15 countries would participate.
Dutch Cube day sees a big international gathering of puzzle fans, for the puzzle market and some lectures too.
Louis' son J Bernett Orlando, a sixth standard student of St James matriculation school here was a child prodigy in solving the Rubik's puzzle. Orlando is an expert in solving the puzzles blind-fold.
Orlando would participate in all nine categories of the competition at the senior level, despite his age. 'I am awaiting to compete in the championship and I will return with the Championship', Orlando told UNI.
