Lalit Suri, an active player in the industry: CII

London, Oct 10 (UNI) Industrialists and businessmen expressed shock at the untimely death of hotelier Lalit Suri here today.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) President R Seshasayee described Suri as an active forefront player of hotel industry.

'' I had worked with him in many areas and found in him an urge to look forward and work for the industry,'' Mr Seshasayee told UNI.

'' Due to his untimely death, we have lost a true friend," he added.

Several other members of CII and FICCI delegation who are here to attend the India-UK Business Summit also mourned the death of Suri.

Suri was in London to attend the India-UK Business Summit.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to address the Summit this afternoon.
