Iraqi police find 60 bodies throughout Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Oct 10: Iraqi police today said they found 60 bodies across Baghdad in the last 24 hours, all with gunshot wounds with some showing signs of torture.

Police could not identify most of the victims. Twelve were found near the Shi'ite Sadr city district of the capital.

Sunni and Shi'ite death squads kill dozens of people from the rival sect every day in violence that Iraq fears could stall reconciliation talks and spiral into all-out civil war.
