History-sheeter arrested

Basti, Oct 10 (UNI) Police today arrested a member of the notorious Pradeep Singh gang in the district.

A countrymade revolver, three pistols and few cartridges were recovered from his possession, police said.

Lakhan Lal Pandey, a native of Banspar village in Gorakhpur district, was arrested near Hariya square, when he was going to Basti on a motorcycle.

Several cases of murder and other heinous crimes were pending against him in Basti and Gorakhpur.
