Haryana: Dengue wards set up, 82 affected
Chandigarh, Oct 10 (UNI) The Haryana government has established dengue wards in government hospitals in the state, where 82 people have been affected by the deadly disease so far.
''Dengue wards been established where sufficient drugs have been provided for the treatment of such cases,'' an official spokesman said today.
One person had died of dengue while as many as 82 dengue cases had so far been confirmed positive in the state, he said.
The most affected districts were Gurgaon (22 cases), Faridabad (19 cases) and Panchkula (21 cases), he added.
The Haryana Health Department, he said, was regularly monitoring the situation and taking all possible measures to tackle dengue in the state.
Health teams were visiting the affected areas and carrying out fogging of Malathion in the morning and evening hours. The places of water collection, where Aedes mosquitoes were breeding were also being treated with chemicals, he added.
