Fans working during power cuts launched in K'taka
Bangalore, Oct 10 (UNI) Sujana Marketing Private Limited, manufacturers of Padmini brand of fans, today introduced in Karnataka the innovative 'SatLITE' series of fans, which worked even during power cuts.
Launching 'SatLITE' fans here, company Managing Director K Gopi said the fan, with advanced microcontroller technology and fitted with an inverter, would not only work uninterrupted during a power cut, but also glow a LED lamp for over six hours.
He said the company intended to get a patent for the energy-efficient fan, costing Rs 3,500. ''The new technology fan would save about 43 per cent energy than any other similar kind of device,'' he added.
Mr Gopi said the company proposed to manufacture over four lakh units this year. The company had received overwhelming response for the model, already launched in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
He said the company had another innovative range of fans that could be switched 'On' of 'Off' just by clapping.
