ESI services to go online in Delhi, Haryana
New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) Registration of employees and employers and payment of contributions will become easy in Delhi and Haryana with the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) going online from tomorrow.
ESIC is rolling out the IT-enabled services to facilitate online delivery of services, the Labour and Employment Ministry said today.
Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Chandra Sekhar Sahu, will launch the corporation's pilot project for Delhi and Haryana tomorrow.
The new project will benefit nearly 4.3 million beneficiaries in Delhi and Haryana, including 46,300 employers and 1.1 million employees, the Ministry said.
In the Haryana region, the project will cover the ESIC regional office in Faridabad, divisional office in Ambala and 18 branch offices.
In the Delhi region, it will cover the ESIC headquarters, regional office, divisional office and four branch offices besides two ESI hospitals in Okhla and Basaidarapur, six ESI dispensaries in Okhla and a central medical store.
The IT-enabled services delivery is meant to provide faster and better delivery of services under the ESI scheme, which will be extended to other parts of the country to benefit 35 million benefeciaries, the government.
