Development projects of cities under JNURM approved
Mumbai, Oct 10 (UNI) Maharashtra government today approved the development projects of various cities including Mumbai, Thane, Mira-Bhyander, Pune, Nagpur and Nanded at a meeting of the State level steering committee attended by Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, other ministers and officials.
The approval to the projects was given under Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Reconstruction programme.
A project of providing civic amenities like toilets and linking pipeline will be given in 107 hutments under a project of Rs 2,741 crore, to be implemented in four phases.
An amount of Rs 235.75 crore would be required to repair the old pipelines in the city, the officials informed, an official release here today said.
