Court asks for video conferencing
Patna, Oct 10 (UNI) Patna High Court today directed the state government to make arrangements for trial through video conferencing of the cases faced by RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin undergoing treatment at AIIMS, New Delhi.
A single bench of Justice V.N.Sinha issued the directive while hearing a petition filed in this connection. When counsel of the prosecution raised the issue of high cost involved in making the required arrangements, the court advised the state government to contact BSNL and MTNL on the issue.
The next date for hearing of the case has been fixed for October 18.
Earlier, the court was informed that Mohammad Shahabuddin had been operated upon for the spinal cord problem on October 7 last at AIIMS in New Delhi. The RJD leader was shifted from Siwan jail to AIIMS for treatment on the directive of Patna High Court.
