CII sign MOU with Imperial College

London, Oct 10 (UNI) The Confederation of Indian Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with London based Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, as a step towards strengthening India- UK bilateral relations in high technology areas.

India and UK are already collaborating in the field science and technology at bilateral level of under the India- UK Joint Economic and Trade Committee. CII is a member of this group and is involving Indian industry in the area of high technology cooperation. This MOU will take this effort further, CII President R Seshasayee said today.

The MOU acknowledges the great importance that the governments of India and UK attach to the close collaboration between two nations in the fields of science and technology, development of new technology to meet the challenges related to climatic changes, environmental and massive improvement in global healthcare provision.
