BSE sensitive index not shown much motentum this morning

Mumbai, Oct 10 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index (Sensex) is range bound since morning and has not shown much momentum, the range has varied between 12,409.50 to 12,481.93.

Currently the sensex is trading 69.19 points up at 12,435.02 compared to the previous close of 12,365.83.

Traders are however optimistic about market performance and feel the second quarter results which will start from tomorrow will enliven the bourses once again. They base their logic on the basis of first quarter performance of heavy weight companies, who posted big gains and set forward huge expansion and diversification plans.

In the intra-noon trade the BSE sectoral indices were all trading in the green, Consumer Durables sector was up by 1.40 per cent and the IT sector was up by 0.95 per cent.

Major gainers on the BSE-30 index were- NTPC, Maruti Udyog, HDFC, Dr Reddy's Lab, Ranbaxy, Grasim Industries, ACC, Tata Motors, Satyam and Wipro all up between 0.92 to 2.66 per cent.

Besides the losers were HLL, ICICI, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, L&T, Reliance Communications, SBI and Reliance Energy all down between 0.10 to 1.03 per cent.
