Bomb blast hits Afghan police bus, 7 wounded

KABUL, Oct 10: A remote-control bomb planted on a parked bicycle ripped apart a police bus in the Afghan capital today, wounding at least seven policemen.

A policeman at the scene who did not want to be named said the bomb was detonated as the bus carrying police passed in a densely crowded neighbourhood north of the city centre.

The explosion during the morning rush hour in the crowded city is the latest in an increasing series of bombings, many of them suicide attacks.
