BJP urges State Election Commission to stop transfer of officials

Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President N Indrasena Reddy today urged the State Election Commission (SEC) to stop transfers of officials in Karimnagar district till the by-elections process was completed.

Addressing a press conference here, he alleged that the state government was trying to misuse the official machinery to transfer some officials, who favoured the government, in view of the forthcoming by-elections.

He alleged that the state government had already started misusing the official machinery for preparing voters lists for the Member of Legislative Council(MLC) Elections.

He said the BJP would field its candidates for Bobbili Lok Sabha seat in Vizianagaram District and for the Karimnagar.

The state unit of the Party had proposed former Union Minister of State for Home C H Vidyasagar Rao for Karimnagar Constituency.

However, formal approval had to come from the party High Command.

He said the High Command would decide the candidate for the Bobbili constituency.

He said National Secretary G Haribabu would be in charge of Bobbili constituency while another National Secretary Bandaru Dattatreya would be the incharge of Karimnagar.

He said the Karimnagar district party elections had been postponed in view of the by-election. However, the state party elections would be conducted as usual on October 27.

He demanded the state government to implement the Government Order (GO) 610 without any dilution.

Though the GO was brought 21 years back, the present and previous Governments in the state had not taken steps to implement it.
