Bhattacharjee condoles Suri's death

Kolkata, Oct 10 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today condoled the death of industrialist Lalit Suri, who recently relieved the Left Front Government by taking over the state-run Great Eastern Hotel.

'' It is painful, '' the Chief Minister told reporters.

Mr Suri, the chief of Bharat Group of Hotels, died in London early today.

He had taken over the Asia's oldest hotel, Great Eastern, only three months ago by outbidding several other aspirants only three months ago.

The heritage hotel had been incurring losses for years.
