AJSU issues show cause notice to its MLA for joining Koda govt.

Ranchi, Oct 10 (UNI) The All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) issued a show cause notice to party legislator Chandraprakash Choudhary for joining the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government on October 8.

Party sources here said the decision of issuing the show cause notice to Chandraprakash, the central treasurer of the party, was taken in the meeting of the central working committee held last night.

Chandraprakash, who took oath as a cabinet minister in the Koda cabinet on October 8, had been given a period of seven days to give his reply.

The party leaders in the meeting, presided over by Sudesh Mahto, said his joining the UPA-backed government was in violation of Article 14 of the party's constitution. The notice had been served on the basis of Article 16 of the party's constitution.

AJSU had two MLAs in Jharkhand Assembly and was a part in the previous BJP-led NDA government in the state.
